René Schönefeld’s (formerly 3 Kings) incense, Vatican, is a mixture of yellow, green, red and black glazed gum granules with lavender blossoms. Vatican’s fragrance is a classic combination of different types of incense, with oriental notes and hints of spring flowers, cinnamon and cloves. The fragrance is rich and refined with sweet and fresh tones.

Vatican is a blend of three types of gum granules (Olibanum, Myrrh and Gum Benjoin). These granules are obtained from different gum trees, in particular the African Boswellia Papyrifera and Commiphora Myrrha and the Asian Styrax Benzoin. The granules have been washed in perfume oils and coloured with pigments that are all EU-approved.

Vatican is an incense designed for use in religious ceremonies, prayers and meditation. Burning natural resin is a rich sensory experience. It is simple to use at home: In a fire proof container place a small amount of sand in the bottom. Light a charcoal disc and place on the sand. When the disc is burning well sprinkle half a teaspoon of incense on. The incense will combust and let off it’s scent. Container may get hot. Do not leave unattended.
